RFID technology

Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) is a wireless communication technology that uses radio waves to identify and track objects. RFID is composed of two elements: an RFID chip containing data and an antenna that allows the transmission and reception of data. Both are integrated either in a hangtag, a of composition, a woven sticker or a sticker. There are two main types of RFID technology: UHF RFID and HF RFID, more commonly known as NFC (Near Field Communication). RFID is used in many applications, such as anti-counterfeiting, supply chain management, security management, traceability of fashion accessories and customer experience

This technology further enables the consumer to read product information by, for example, bringing a smartphone close to the antenna, compared to the UHF version: - It extends marketing communication through personalization, providing enriched information to the customer. - Thanks to its unique identifier (UID), each item has its own DNA. - A dedicated WebApp is accessed by simply bringing a smartphone equipped with an NFC reader near a chip. - Reading the NFC tag at each stage of the product’s journey.
